Stephen Kaas

Coach Stephen Kaas began his volleyball career as a setter at Elsinore High School.  After graduation he attended Ricks College.  While at Ricks College he was the starting setter on the men's team and an assistant coach for the nationally ranked women's team.  After he earned his A.S. in Sports Medicine he transferred to BYU.

While at BYU he coached at Jordan High School and helped Jordan qualify for the state tournament.  After the birth of his first son, he moved his family back to Southern California.  While attending Cal State San Bernardino, Coach Kaas served as an Assistant Coach for their nationally ranked team that reached the sweet 16.

Coach Kaas then accepted a teaching and coaching position at Paloma Valley High School in 2003 and became the head coach in 2004.  He took a 2 year break from coaching at PVHS to coach at RCC.  While at RCC, the Tigers were ranked in the top 25 and made the state playoffs.  Coach Kass has 169 wins with the Lady Wildcats, and 17 players have gone on to play college volleyball.
